NAU believes that an educated population results in a vital
and prosperous community. We promote and provide workforce development
and recognize the importance of long-term relationships with
corporations. We feel it is essential to work together as
a partnership in order to produce a relevant curriculum that
best serves both employers and employees. To this end, our local
advisory board meets regularly and recommends changes and additions
to keep training programs challenging and current.
In addition to core programs, customized
corporate training is now an integral part of NAU
and it demonstrates our
commitment to workforce development. Training can be presented
on-site, at any hour or day of the week, for any length of time
to suit the employer’s requirements and budget. Within
certain guidelines, college credit or continuing education units (CEU) can also be
offered.
