Military Affiliations

NAU is approved for veterans training and is an institutional member of Service Members Opportunity Colleges (SOC). As a SOC member, NAU has committed itself to easing the transfer of relevant course credits providing flexible academic residency requirements, and credits for learning from appropriate military training and experiences. NAU works with active duty military personnel in all service branches as well as with civilians, retired military, and military dependents. NAU provides free military evaluations and offers courses as short as three and a half weeks in length as well as regular eleven-week courses. NAU enrolls active duty military and civilian students from Fort Carson, NORAD, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base and the United States Air Force Academy.
