Online Graduate Faculty Opportunities

National American University's corp of online graduate faculty represents a variety of professional disciplines including business, human resource management, information technology, and health care management, serving students from around the world.  NAU continuously accepts inquiries from experienced adjunct graduate faculty interested in instructional appointment to the online graduate campus.  Based on the biographical detail provided, individual profiles are maintained in an active database which is the primary source of information used by the program coordinator of the distance learning graduate campus in selection of new faculty candidates as opportunities become available.

At the present time, the NAU online graduate program is only extending new faculty employment opportunities to candidates that reside in the following states:

Arizona
Colorado
Florida
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Minnesota
Missouri
Nebraska
New Mexico
Ohio
Oregon
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia

Minimum Qualifications for Candidacy:

  • A minimum of a doctoral degree  in the field of assignment and:
    • For Major and Emphasis Areas- five or more year's of professional experience in work directly related to his or her assigned teaching responsibilities; has extensive and substantial documented successful teaching experience in the area of assigned teaching responsibilities; and demonstrates involvement in meaningful research and/or programs for the enhancement of pedagogical skills.
  • Recent and relevant paid instructional experience in the higher learning online environment.  WebCT experience preferred.
