Online Undergraduate Faculty Opportunities
NAU's corps of online faculty represents a variety of professional disciplines including business, information technology, health care management, nursing and general education serving students from around the world. NAU continuously accepts inquiries from experienced adjunct faculty interested in instructional appointment to the online campus. Based on the biographical detail provided, individual profiles are maintained in an active database which is the primary source of information used by the program coordinators of the distance learning campus in selection of new faculty candidates as opportunities become available.
At the present time, NAU Online is only extending new faculty employment opportunities to candidates that reside in the following states:

Minimum Qualifications for Candidacy:
- A minimum of a master's degree in the field of assignment, an earned doctorate is strongly preferred, and:
- For Major and Emphasis Areas- five or more year's of professional experience in work directly related to his or her assigned teaching responsibilities; and has extensive and substantial documented successful teaching experience in the area of assigned teaching responsibilities; and demonstrates involvement in meaningful research and/or programs for the enhancement of pedagogical skills.
- For General Education Courses - at least eighteen semester hours of course work completed successfully at the graduate level in the area of the assigned teaching responsibilities.
- Recent and relevant paid instructional experience in the higher learning online environment. WebCT experience preferred.
