Financial Assistance for Military

There are several types of assistance available to military students:

Military tuition assistance:

Tuition assistance programs provide assistance of 75% to 100% of allowable tuition costs, depending on the branch of service. DANTES will not pay course costs until a passing grade is received.  You must submit the original DANTES 1562/31 three copy form.

Military tuition assistance verification forms are obtained from your education office.  You will need to provide the course codes, class name, tuition costs per class to complete the form. Once a preapproved tuition assistance verification form is obtained, fax a copy of that form to your student account advisor.

All students using military tuition assistance resources must provide the verification forms and complete the National American University promissory note by the first day of class.  Contact your student account advisor to complete this process.

GI Bill/Veterans Education Benefits

Veterans and/or dependents of veterans who are disabled or deceased may qualify for educational financial assistance through the Veterans Administration.  Since the regulations regarding eligibility are quite extensive and many times need interpretation, contact your local veterans service office.

Transfer your years of military experience into college credit. National American University offers services to meet the unique needs of military personnel with flexible class schedules, credit for life, work and military experience, and free military evaluations.
