Student Services
National American University provides a variety of student organizations.
Student activities are a very important part of the NAU experience. Students are encouraged to become involved in the many student organizations available on campus. These organizations are all a part of our comprehensive approach to career and personal development.
Some of the many organizations include:
President's Advisory Council - Meets regularly to assist the administrative council in addressing student issues. This is an excellent opportunity for students to visit with the president and the council to make recommendations and implement new ideas for campus improvement. Members are selected from the student body by the administration.
Student Senate - Student government involves students with campus activities, introduces students to new people, and is an excellent reference for post-graduate employment. Activities include NAU awards night, luncheon meetings, and other campus events.
Association of Information Technology Professionals - The purpose is to promote fellowship among students with a professional interest in today's computer-oriented society. They strive to perfect computer skills with friendly competition and interactive training in computer, management, programming, and social activities. This organization is open to all CIS/MIS majors.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) - PBL is a nationally recognized collegiate business association. The purpose is to enhance the student's business education by providing training and experience in networking, community service, professional behavior, professional development, and competitive excellence. This organization is open to all students. Group members attend state and national conventions and competitions. PBL also attends seminars, the investment challenge, and university functions. Community service activities include Adopt-A-Highway, fund-raisers for March of Dimes, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Angel Tree, and United Blood Services.
