Scholarship Application

Professional Advancement Scholarship Application

 
Academic Leadership Scholarship
Awarding Criteria:
  1. Student must be a first-time National American University student.

  2. Student must be an undergraduate student.

  3. Student can not be enrolled as a special student.

  4. Student must reside in the residence hall.

  5. Student must complete a scholarship application, forwarded from the Admissions department to the Financial Aid department and kept in the financial aid file.

  6. Student must attend at least 12 credit hours per quarter, of which, at least eight credits must be on the Rapid City campus.
Awarding Limitations:
  1. This is a residence hall scholarship.
  2. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
  3. The scholarships are awarded for consecutive quarters.
  4. The high school CGPA will be used to determine the level of the scholarship.
    1. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 3.6 or better to receive an award of $665 per quarter for a total of $1995 for the award year; or
    2. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25 to 3.59 to receive an award of $400 per quarter for a total of $1200 for the award year; or
    3. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 to 3.24 to receive an award of $267 per quarter for a total of $800 for the award year.
  5. This scholarship combined with all other residence hall scholarships cannot exceed $1995, or this scholarship will be reduced.
Retention Requirements:
  1. Retention Requirements form must be acknowledged by the student.
  2. Student must maintain at least a 2.5 CGPA at National American University, which is checked each award year.
  3. Student must maintain attendance in at least 12 credit hours per quarter, of which, at least eight credits must be on the  Rapid City campus).
  4. Student must attend a minimum of three quarters per 12 month period (cannot take off two consecutive quarters).
  5. Student must continue to reside in the residence hall.
  6. If student loses another residence hall scholarship, the Academic Leadership scholarship can only be retained at the amount that was previously awarded.
  7. If the student fails to meet any of these requirements, he or she will no longer be eligible for this scholarship at any time.

 

Professional Advancement Scholarship
Awarding Criteria:

  1. Student must be a first-time National American University student.
  2. Student must be an undergraduate student.
  3. Student must have graduated from high school on or before December 31, 2006.
  4. Student must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Student can not be enrolled as a special student.
  6. Student must complete a scholarship application, forwarded from Admissions department to the Financial Aid department and kept in the financial aid file.
  7. Student must attend at least 12 credit hours per quarter, of which, at least eight credits must be on the Rapid City campus).
Awarding Limitations:
  1. This is a tuition scholarship.
  2. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
  3. The high school CGPA or the previous college CGPA will be used to determine the level of the scholarship, whichever is higher. Students with prior college credits must have at least 12 transferable credit hours to use the previous college CGPA.
    1. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 3.6 or better to receive an award of $250 per quarter for a total of $750 for the award year; or
    2. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25 to 3.59 to receive an award of $217 per quarter for a total of $650 for the award year; or
    3. Student must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 to 3.24 to receive an award of $167 per quarter for a total of $500 for the award year.
  4. This scholarship combined with all other tuition scholarships can not exceed the quarterly tuition amount, or this scholarship will be reduced.

  5. The Professional Advancement scholarship can only be retained at the amount that was previously awarded.
  6. Students are encouraged to participate in a National American University student organization each quarter.
  7. If the student fails to meet any of these requirements, he or she will no longer be eligible for this scholarship at any time

 

Rapid City Area High School Scholarship
Awarding Criteria:

  1. Student must be a first-time National American University student.
  2. Student must be an undergraduate student.
  3. Student must have graduated from high school after December 31, 2006.
  4. Student must have their permanent residence within a 50 mile radius of Rapid City.
  5. Student can not be enrolled as a special student.
  6. Student must complete a scholarship application, forwarded from Admissions department to the Financial Aid department and kept in the financial aid file.
  7. Student must attend at least 12 credit hours per quarter, of which, at least eight credits must be on the Rapid City campus.
Awarding Limitations:
  1. This is a tuition scholarship.
  2. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
  3. The high school CGPA will be used to determine the level of the scholarship.
