Rapid City Graduate Studies
Higher education with a business focus has always been the cornerstone of NAU
since the school was founded in 1941, in Rapid City, South Dakota. The
individual, personal interaction with faculty and students is what makes our
graduate programs so unique. Although online degrees are becoming popular in
this technological era, many people still prefer to attend face-to-face classes
in a traditional setting. The on-campus classes are conveniently scheduled
during evening hours to avoid interruptions of your work schedule. As a Rapid
City graduate student, you can take classes on-campus, online, or a combination
of both delivery formats.
Online Graduate Studies
Typical online programs are easier to fit into your busy schedule, but they may
feel impersonal as you never speak to faculty and other students. National
American University offers an online graduate program unlike any you've seen
before. The personal interaction with faculty and other students is what makes
our graduate program so unique. You'll "attend class" weekly, online, at your
own convenience for threaded discussions with your classmates, assignments, and
review. Once a week, you'll have live synchronous sessions where you and your
classmates can interact with your professor and each other in synchronous
discussion (real time, live audio) over the Internet as your instructor
discusses the week's material.
Blended Model (campus and online) Graduate Studies
The blended model of learning offers you the face-to-face support that campuses
offer, while still providing the convenience of taking classes online. This
gives you the flexibility to schedule completion of your degree program to best
fit your busy lifestyle since you’ll have access to learning 24 hours a day from
anywhere the Internet can be accessed.
Campuses that offer the blended model graduate studies are: Albuquerque, NM;
Austin, TX; Bloomington, MN; Brooklyn Center, MN; Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Independence, MO;
Roseville, MN;
Sioux Falls, SD;
and
Wichita, KS.
