Education Benefits for U.S. Air Force
Not only did I get my dream job, I landed a $20K raise to go with it. This position would not have been possible without my degree from NAU.” - Senior Master Sergeant Chuck B.
At NAU we take notice of the sacrifices you have made to serve our country and we would like to return the favor by offering you reduced tuition rates, multiple transfer opportunities, flexible class scheduling, dedicated career advisors and quality programs to make earning your degree simple and affordable. Whether in search of a promotion, job enrichment or post-military employment, NAU offers reduced tuition rates and education benefits to U.S. Air Force personnel, spouses, dependents and retired veterans. Senior Master Sergeant Chuck B., an Information Technology graduate from NAU, affirms “while starting life after the Air Force, it was very apparent that a college degree is a must to be competitive in the job market. Back to school I went and haven’t looked back since. My NAU degree helped me land a brand-new job as a training manager for the Air Force. Not only did I get my dream job, I landed a $20K raise to go with it. This position would not have been possible without my degree from NAU.”

National American University offers services to meet your unique needs by offering flexible class schedules, credit for life, work and military experience, and free military evaluations. You may be surprised at just how fast you can complete your studies. NAU arranges the quickest path to a degree and full credit for your military education by taking advantage of American Council on Education (ACE) credit assessment services. ACE continuously evaluates military schools, correspondence courses and occupations to determine the amount and level of academic credit each should be awarded. Through ACE credits, you may earn academic credit for most of the training you have received, including basic training, and you can reduce the time required and cost for your studies.
A student may obtain up to 50 percent of the required credit hours toward graduation from non-traditional methods including:
a. experiential learning/portfolio credit awarded by National American University,
b. evaluated corporate training certificates, and
c. non-transcripted military training.
National American University offers College Level Examination Program (CLEP) for credit in a number of courses. Students may earn credit hours as indicated but no grades.

The Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) program is an initiative between Air University and civilian higher education institutions, one of which being National American University (NAU), to offer Bachelor's degree opportunities to every Air Force enlisted member regardless of location.
National American University offers the unique opportunity to complete all coursework completely online. NAU’s Bachelor of Science in Management and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology programs have been evaluated by Air University and found relevant to an individual’s Air Force career field. The program is designed to transfer CCAF credits so students can obtain a bachelor’s degree with no more than 60 additional equivalent semester credits, which equals 90 quarter hour credits using the standard conversion.
NAU supports CCAF completion with online course delivery through the GEM initiative or through on ground courses at a location near you.
