On September 2, 2017, the National American University Foundation was the featured charity at the Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball game.

As the featured charity, the Foundation was provided a table to share information about the meaningful work of the Foundation and was given the opportunity to throw out a first pitch.

Christopher Roebuck, a NAU Colorado Springs-South student and scholarship recipient was selected to help with first pitch honors.

“I couldn’t think of a better way to feature the Foundation and honor one of our fabulous scholarship recipients,” said Tamie Hopp, Director of Alumni and Foundation Services. “Chris did a great job and represented the Foundation and the university very well.”

The Foundation was also granted a radio interview, making the overall impact and number of people reached that much greater.

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox is the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Special thanks to the Sky Sox for its generosity and warm welcome, and to NAU Campus Director, Mark Hull, for his help in securing this opportunity for the nonprofit NAU Foundation.
