Master of Management, emphasis in Higher Education
The Master of Management in Higher Education is to equip postsecondary faculty in two-and four-year colleges and universities with the knowledge and skills to develop and refine their teaching skills as well as prepare faculty to be lead faculty and department chairs.
The online program is designed for anyone interested in learning about inquiry, assessment, and innovative strategies for proficiency in the science and art of teaching and learning. The curriculum of the Master of Management in Higher Education is based on research of best practices in student learning and adult learning theory. The curriculum includes emerging trends in higher education and uses of instructional technology.
This program is offered online, with support services provided by the NAU locations listed below. Classes are offered as follows:
Online Classes Only – Students may not take any on-ground classes at the following locations:
Indianapolis, Indiana; Garden City, Overland Park, Wichita, and Wichita West, Kansas; Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Burnsville, Minnetonka, Rochester, and Roseville, Minnesota; Independence, Lee's Summit, and Zona Rosa, Missouri; Bellevue, Nebraska; Albuquerque and Albuquerque West, New Mexico; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Allen, Texas.
On-Ground Classes Permissible – In addition to online classes, students may take on-ground classes at the following locations:
Centennial, Colorado Springs, and Colorado Springs South, Colorado; Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, and Watertown, South Dakota; Austin, Austin South, Georgetown, Houston, Lewisville, Mesquite, and Richardson, Texas.

The MM Higher Education program is offered through NAU Distance Learning. General education courses are offered online and at designated physical locations.
