Experience the Black Hills of South Dakota

Rapid City, South Dakota

Population 65,000 -

THE place to be for not only a stellar education, but hiking, biking, skiing, shopping, entertainment and more!

1941 - Wow, what a cool year:

Mount Rushmore was finished!  George, Abe, Tom and Teddy's likenesses were forever enshrined on the enormous rock known as Mount Rushmore.  You can see it yourself - our campus is only a few minutes away.

The Sturgis Bike Rally started!  The Sturgis Rally is a week-long gathering of motorcycles and bikers - by the way, it is the largest bike rally in the world.  Harley-Davidson reigns supreme here, so bring your bike if you've got one and see the spectacle that is Sturgis during bike week.

National American University opened its doors!  The Rapid City campus is located in one of the finest small cities in the United States.  Our campus - like Rapid City itself - prides itself on being one of the safest and most friendly places for you to live.  The Black Hills - you've got to see 'em to believe 'em.  Beauty and the great outdoors are right in our backyard.  Become one with nature here in our neck of the woods.  The college campus location was chosen for a reason, 'ya know?
