Testimonials

"Don't put off going to school! If you are thinking of returning to school, any concern you may have, the staff and your fellow students will make better. You'll never accomplish the goal of higher education unless you embrace it and apply!"

– Laura, Online RN to BSN Student

Online RN to BSN Graduate: Aileen R.
Occupation/title: Director of Nursing
Hometown: Springer, NM

Did the RN to BSN degree provide you with the opportunity to excel professionally in your career?
Yes, it did. I now hold the title of Director of Nursing in a 33-bed, long-term care facility. The degree was also a major step in playing a part for enrolling in graduate school.

Would you recommend the National American University RN to BSN program to someone else?
I would definitely recommend NAU to anyone seeking their BSN degree online because the courses were structured so that one has to stay completely motivated and involved.

Has your understanding of the nursing profession changed/expanded as a result of your BSN education?
It has truly expanded. I never thought much of nursing research or healthcare law until I had the opportunity to take the courses. The knowledge I ended up with has changed my understanding of the nursing profession dramatically.

Online RN to BSN Graduate: Petra R., RN, BSN
Occupation/title: Staff Nurse Emergency Observation Unit
Hometown: Grand Rapids, MI

Did the RN to BSN degree provide you with the opportunity to excel professionally in your career?
Since obtaining my degree, I have the opportunity to be involved in initiatives that would not have been available to me in the past. In July, I will teach a module on aseptic technique to second year med students training in my hospital.

Would you recommend the National American University RN to BSN program to someone else?
Obtaining a BSN has always been a goal for me. Completing my degree in a traditional setting was difficult as I was starting my career and raising a family. The Online RN to BSN program at NAU allowed me to continue working while taking classes. I had excellent support from advisors as I planned my courses and was encouraged with the quality of the program as classes were taught by Master's- and doctorate-prepared instructors.

Has your understanding of the nursing profession changed/expanded as a result of your BSN education?
My feelings about nursing have always been those of pride and honor. After completing my BSN degree, those feelings have only become stronger. I was able to take something away from each non-nursing course and apply it to my work as a nurse, therefore ultimately serving the patients in my care.
