That’s why we encourage you to research the multitude of scholarships available, including those offered by NAU. NAU Undergraduate Scholarships

New and Current Students 

2019/20 SD Education Access Foundation Award (SDEAF)

Available to Independent students at the Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City/Online (including Division of Military Studies, Henley-Putnam Undergraduate, Kansas City-Online, Lonestar), and Sioux Falls undergraduate students. Download information regarding this award. 

NAU Veteran’s Yellow Ribbon Scholarship 

NAU participates in the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship program for eligible recipients of Chapter 33 Veteran’s benefits.  NAU will award a limited number of Chapter 33 Veterans a Yellow Ribbon Scholarship for up to ½ the amount of tuition and fees not paid by Chapter 33 benefits per term.  If the student meets the following eligibility requirements:

  • Entitled to the maximum benefit rate for Chapter 33
  • Served an aggregate period of 36 months of active duty after September 10, 2001
  • Honorably discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability and you served 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001
  • Dependent eligible for transfer of entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill in which the service member was entitled to the maximum benefit rate for Chapter 33

2019/20 NAU Academic Excellence Award 

This scholarship opportunity is for students who have achieved high academic progress while attending NAU. Several awards are available for students. The NAU Foundation Undergraduate Academic Excellence Award application and criteria are available at the NAU Foundation Website

2019/20 NAU Brown Mackie College Graduated Student Scholarship

Available to students who graduated with a Diploma or Associate degree from Brown Mackie College (BMC) during their most recent enrollment with BMC after 5/31/16 and are new students with NAU through Fall 2018. Please log in to your student portal at https://mycampus.national.edu.  Scholarship applications are located on the Financial Aid Forms page with the “My Financial Aid” tab of the toolbar.


2019/20 NAU Research Paper Scholarship 
The NAU Research Scholarship is a tuition scholarship for NAU undergraduate students.  Students must submit a research paper that is the result of an assignment for an NAU class during the 2017/18 award year, for the 2019/20 Campus Research Scholarship competition.  The NAU Foundation Undergraduate Campus Research Scholarship application and criteria are available at the NAU Foundation Website

This scholarship opportunity is for students who have achieved high academic progress while attending NAU. Several awards are available for students. The NAU Foundation Masters Academic Excellence Award application and criteria are available at the NAU Foundation Website

2019/20 NAU Affiliate/Corporate Scholarship Program 
This scholarship is for students who have graduated from an Affiliate College or who are employed by a Partner Company or Affiliate college. Please see your Financial Counselor for a current listing of Partner Companies and Affiliate Colleges. 

2019/20 NAU HDB Graduate School Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity is for NAU alumni who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from NAU and wish to pursue their graduate degree with NAU.  Please log in to your student portal at https://mycampus.national.edu.  Scholarship applications are located on the Financial Aid Forms page with the “My Financial Aid” tab of the toolbar.  

2019/20 NAU South Texas College Graduate Scholarship 
This scholarship is for South Texas College employees or graduates looking to further their education with a graduate degree from NAU.  Please see your Finance Counselor to discuss your eligibility.

2019/20 NAU Ultimate Medical Academy Scholarship
This scholarship is for Ultimate Medical Academy employees or graduates looking to further their education with a graduate degree from NAU.  Please see your Finance Counselor to discuss your eligibility.

2019/20 NAU Doctoral Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity is for Doctoral Program students who are employed by an Institution who provides tuition subsidy or tuition reimbursement for the Doctoral Program.  Please see your Finance Counselor to discuss your eligibility.

2019/20 NAU Doctoral Support Scholarship

This scholarship opportunity is for Doctoral Program students who do not receive a tuition subsidy or tuition reimbursement support from their employer.  Please see your Finance Counselor to discuss your eligibility.

2019/20 NAU Doctoral Scholarship Tri-C2

This scholarship opportunity is for Doctoral Program students employed by Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and members of the Tri-C2 Cohort that receive tuition subsidy or tuition reimbursement for the Doctoral Program.  Please see your Finance Counselor to discuss your eligibility.
