Welcome to National American University – Ellsworth, conveniently located in the heart of Ellsworth Air Force Base in western South Dakota. Since 1974, the Ellsworth AFB location has been serving active-duty, reserve, National Guard, and retired military personnel, as well as military families, veterans receiving VA benefits, DOD employees and their dependents, base contractors, and residents of nearby Box Elder.
NAU's Ellsworth location offers Bachelor of Science and Associate of Applied Science degree programs and classes that meet the oral, written communications, humanities, math and social science requirements of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). Some popular degree programs include business and information technology, and criminal justice. These programs are all geared towards learning the specialized skills needed to succeed in careers that are hiring now, as well as to meet the needs of today's students.
The Ellsworth location is located on the Air Force Base in the Rushmore Center at 1000 Ellsworth Street and can be easily accessed via I-90. The South Dakota Air and Space Museum is also located just outside of the main gate of Ellsworth AFB.
