National Paralegal Day: Celebrating the Professionals Who Help Keep the Legal System Moving Forward

Recognizing the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of paralegals across the country.

Every day, paralegals play an essential role in supporting attorneys, serving clients, and helping the legal system operate efficiently. On National Paralegal Day, National American University proudly recognizes the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of paralegals across the country, while celebrating our Paralegal Studies students who are preparing to enter this rewarding profession.

Paralegals are trusted members of legal teams who assist with legal research, case preparation, document management, client communication, trial support, and many other critical responsibilities. They work in a wide range of settings, including law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, and the courts. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical practice help attorneys provide high-quality legal services to the individuals, businesses, and communities they serve.

Preparing the Next Generation of Paralegal Professionals

At National American University, our American Bar Association-approved Paralegal Studies programs are designed to help students develop the legal knowledge, practical skills, professional judgment, and ethical foundation needed to support attorneys and legal organizations. NAU offers both associate and bachelor’s degree pathways, giving students options that can support their educational goals and intended professional direction.

Courses are offered online, with designated legal specialty courses delivered through live online video conferencing. This flexible format allows students to pursue their education while balancing work, family, military service, and other personal commitments.

As the legal profession continues to evolve, skilled legal support professionals continue to adapt and serve society. Today’s paralegals are increasingly utilizing technology, managing complex information, and contributing to legal teams in new and innovative ways. Their work continues to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of legal services.

Today, we recognize and thank the paralegals who serve with professionalism and integrity. We also congratulate our Paralegal Studies students and alumni as they pursue careers dedicated to supporting justice and making a difference in their communities.

Happy National Paralegal Day!

Thank you to the professionals, students, graduates, and educators who support the legal system and the communities it serves.
