As we celebrate 85 years of National American University, we honor more than our history.
We honor our students, alumni, faculty, and staff who bring NAU’s mission to life.
Our anniversary is a reminder that meaningful change starts with everyday actions and that
service to others strengthens both individuals and communities.
In 2026, we invite all NAU students to join a university-wide initiative focused on giving back.
Whether through volunteering, donating, supporting local causes, or helping someone in need,
every act of service contributes to a stronger and more compassionate world.
This year, you are part of the celebration. You are also part of the impact.
How to Participate
1. Choose Your Act of Service
Choose a service activity that is meaningful to you and makes a positive impact in your community.
Examples include:
- Volunteering at a shelter, sanctuary, or food kitchen
- Donating food, clothing, or essential items
- Participating in community clean ups or improvement projects
- Supporting local nonprofits or civic events
- Donating blood
- Assisting neighbors, schools, or community groups

2. Document Your Service
Take a photo or short video of your participation. You will upload it through the submission
form on this page along with a brief written description of your service activity.
3. Share Your Impact
We encourage you to share your act of service on your preferred social media platforms.
Inspire others to participate by tagging National American University and using our
official 85th anniversary service hashtag:
#NAUGives85
Your story may be featured throughout our anniversary celebration.

Eligibility for the raffle and shirt give away is reserved for Active NAU students only!
Every verified submission from active NAU students will be entered into a raffle to win one of three $500 gift cards.
To qualify for the raffle submit your proof of service by 11:59 PM on FRIDAY, JUNE 26th, 2026.

Raffle winners will be announced on FRIDAY, JULY 10th, 2026.
Limited Edition T-Shirt Giveaway
The first 85 students who submit verified service will receive a special edition
NAU 85th Anniversary T-shirt.
The T-shirt is a wearable way to celebrate your contribution and the collective spirit of NAU
during this milestone year.

Why This Matters
For 85 years, NAU has supported working adult learners who are balancing school, work, family,
and life. This service challenge reflects that same spirit by inviting students to contribute
to their communities in ways that are accessible and personally meaningful.
Service builds empathy, strengthens communities, and reflects the values that have guided NAU
since 1930. Together, these collective actions honor our history and shape a future grounded
in compassion and purpose.
