There are a number of merit scholarship opportunities for deserving National American University students available through the National American University Foundation and a variety of outside organizations. Your NAU finance counselor can help you identify those that are right for you.
The nonprofit National American University Foundation recognizes and rewards academic achievement through an annual National American University Foundation Academic Excellence Award Scholarship.
To be eligible to apply for an Academic Excellence Award Scholarship, the student must have:
- Attended half time (six or more undergraduate credit hours; 4.5 or more master’s or DSS credit hours, and three or more trimester credit hours in the EdD) at NAU fall and winter terms, or fall and spring terms in the EdD, of the last calendar year and continue on a half-time basis for the award period.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.66.
Academic Excellence Award Scholarship recipients are selected based on their:
- Academic achievement at NAU.
- Participation in institutional activities or community involvement or service while an NAU student.
- Financial need.
The National American University Foundation also periodically offers targeted scholarship opportunities for NAU students as resources allow.
Scholarship applications are available at the Foundation’s website or from your NAU success coach. Letters of reference and a brief autobiography must be included with the application.
Edith Nourse Rogers S.T.E.M. Scholarship
Veterans Affairs scholarship program designed to help students who are in a high demand training program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) who may have exhausted or will exhaust their entitlement benefits prior to the completion of their program.
