AU-ABC and GEM Programs

AU-ABC Program

National American University is proud to partner with the Air University to provide regionally accredited, military-friendly civilian higher education opportunities to Air Force and Space Force enlisted members. All courses are offered online so students can further their education at their convenience from anywhere in the world.

AU-ABC Program Overview

The Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) program is an initiative between Air University and civilian higher education institutions to link airmen who have completed associate degrees to “military friendly” baccalaureate programs via online learning. The AU-ABC program aligns with the Air Force and Space Force vision and meets the Air University’s near-term goal of providing enhanced educational opportunities for our enlisted force.

Key program features:

  • Students can maximize the application of military career education and training and build on a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree.
  • Airmen and Guardians with an AAS degree from CCAF can earn a career-related (AF-relevant) bachelor’s degree by completing an additional 90 quarter credit hours (equivalent to 60 semester hours).
  • National American University (NAU) delivers courses in an online and blended learning environment to include in-person offerings, participation via video, and the online platform Desire2Learn (D2L.) Student services are provided through personnel, programs, and procedures and cover a wide range of academic advising, financial aid advising, Inclusive Access course materials, tutoring services, the online library and Ask-A-Librarian email and text reference service, course navigation, technical support, and additional services.
